"Once an Eagle, always and Eagle." The ultimate camp for advancement and Scouting knowledge. Open to First Class Scouts at least 13 years old or who has completed the 7th grade.

July 26-August 1- Keowa

 

Want to fly? Thinking about being a pilot? A sky marshal? An airport first tesponder?

Learn about careers in aviation and become a "Young Eagle" with your first 10-minute flight in a single engine plane (weather permitting).

Aviation Camp offers:

July 12th-18th- Keowa

Make a movie and produce a TV show in six days. Impossible? Not today. If you are interested in a career in front of or behind the camera, this camp is for you! You will work with an experienced, professional working videographer and use state-of-the-art production equipment and software to produce short, dramatic programs and broadcast news packages. Final edited programs will be uploaded to popular video sharing sites such as Vimeo, YouTube, and Livestream. This is a coed program open to Boy Scouts and Venturers age 14 and older (or who have completed the 8th grade) who are interested in a career in film or television. Campers will work on Cinematography and Photography merit badges while participating in this specialty camp.

August 9th-15th- Keowa

Bring your suntan lotion and have a week of fun and adventure! If you enjoy aquatics activities, then spend a week on or in the water at one of our premier camps. Activities include merit badges such as Swimming, Lifesaving, Rowing, Canoeing, Small Boat Sailing, Motorboating, Waterskiing, and First Aid, as well as special awards such as BSA Lifeguard; Mile Swim, BSA; Snorkeling, BSA; Kayaking BSA; and Boardsailing BSA. Participants will also be trained in CPR, and take a special overnight Voyageur canoe trip, as well as a trip on the Delaware River. Participants will be able to learn important aquatic skills, while completing requirements for merit badges and aquatic special awards.

 

Want to try something out of the ordinary? Are you now an experienced camper and are looking for new and exciting adventure? Well, our Individual and Group Adventures are your opportunity. Enjoy our ATV Training Program and have the chance to participate in our ATV Adventure Trek. How about the world of Horseback Riding? Have a chance at trying a sport that truly gets your heart racing. Perhaps you’d like to earn the Horsemanship Merit Badge? Through this program, you can also earn the merit badge! How about putting your limits to the TEST? Try our Provisional or Unit High Adventure Trek. This program can be completely customized to the interests of your Scouts. Hike for 50 miles and participate in several camp high adventure programs. How about a hybrid of hiking and canoeing down the gorgeous Delaware River? Totally possible and waiting for you to book the adventure.

 

July 5th-11th- Keowa

Prepare for the Leadership experience of a lifetime. Our NYLT staff will prepare your scouts to be better leaders than they already are! With a wholesome patrol cooking experience, several resources, and team-building opportunities, the NYLT Specialty Camp will promise plenty of learning and fun for the Scouts that participate. Partake in patrol games, master Scout Skills, and hone communication skills through that not only will contribute to the unit but to the Scouts’ overall life skills. This program is open to Boy Scouts, at least 13 years of age and to Venturers both male and female. Enjoy the comfortable accommodations of our Specialty Site complete with electricity, instructional pavilion, showers, and running-water bathrooms.

 

August 2nd-8th- Keowa

Interested in shooting sports? Interested in learning about firearms safety? Interested in earning the Rifle and Shotgun Merit Badges? Spend a week at Camp Keowa and learn about shooting a shotgun, learn how to shoot in various firing positions, earn Rifle and Shotgun Merit Badge, participate in competitive shooting events, but most of all spend a week at camp with your friends and have fun.

 

Scouts can capitalize on the features of our massive camp property. Utilizing the COPE courses, Indian Cliffs, ATV program, Kayaking/Canoeing/Rafting down the Delaware River, Scouts and Troops can assemble their own adventure.
